Painesville, OH -- A man who had been drinking fell asleep inside a bathroom stall in a drugstore, only to find himself locked inside the store hours later when he woke up.
Bruce W. Snyder, 51, pleaded guilty Monday to disorderly conduct, a minor misdemeanor, in Painesville Municipal Court and was fined $25 plus court costs. He was arrested early Saturday after he set off a motion detector inside a CVS Pharmacy in Painesville Township.
Lake County sheriff's deputies who arrived at the store could not enter until Snyder was able to unlock the doors.
Deputies found an unopened candy bar and an empty beer can inside the stall. A CVS shift supervisor, Tara Kukla, said employees did not find anything missing in the store.
Judge Michael A. Cicconetti dismissed a charge of criminal trespassing.
Kukla said Snyder entered the store at 7:30 p.m. Friday. That night's supervisor later locked the store without checking the bathrooms.
