ridiculous maybe but I haven't read anything that has warranted a topic being locked.

just because a thread has "run its course" doesn't mean it should be locked up. Just let it fall off the first page if it has really "run its course"

Self-control seems to be in such short supply after a win; why is that??? In a day or two all is forgotten.

One thing that makes Huskerboard better than many of the other boards I have frequented in my time is one thing: moderation. We have moderators who do a very good job making sure the board maintains integrity and has fruitful conversation (outside of the woodshed, of course).

Honestly, bickering and letting things get a little out of hand can be fun at times, but not in the football forum. Even if the woodshed doesn't get a lot of traffic, I believe it's important to keep the football forum (clearly the most important and populated forum on this board) free of trolling and free of bad traffic. It leaves the wrong impression of a visitor if people are getting away with some things.
