Looking Forward to Missouri

What are your thoughts looking ahead to next week at home vs. the Tigers?

I can't wait, I think its going to be a brawl. Missouri has looked a lot like us this year, up and down. You never know what team will show up. Thoughts?

I would give out offense and defense the edge, but watching the OU game right now, we can't give them turnovers or big special teams plays. They could easily walk out of Lincoln with a W.

Every now and then Gabbert throws a high pass ala Cody Green that is nowhere close to his receiver. I like our secondaries chances again against him.

I'm not so sure that they don't have the edge on defensive and offensive line play.

(I mean MU, unfortunately.)

At the half of MU OU game I believe Mizzou has a better defense than they have had in years. Im not too impressed with their offense, and I believe it plays into the hands of what NU wants to do defensively.

That being said, the Big12 is very confusing to me right now.

Well at least their deep qb set won't be a big deal for us since we can't get pressure on the qb one way or the other...

That's what I was saying a few weeks ago. But I hadn't considered a.) the strength of their O line in pass protection and b.) our complete lack of pass rush. Gabbert's really good when he isn't under pressure. I know we have great corners, but I can certainly see a situation where NU struggles in this game. The only positive that I can take from today is that we at least seem to take away the short, quick slants and middle crossing routes. That's Mizzou's bread and butter, based on what I have seen this season.

well now that t-mart is a passing threat too, it's going to be a lot harder for mizzou's d-line to take over the game. also our defense should shut them down with their lack of a running game. hopefully t-mart can break out at home.
