Nebraska junior running back Marlon Lucky was named a preseason candidate for the 2007 Doak Walker Award on Tuesday, Aug. 28. The award is presented annually to the nation’s top college running back and Lucky is one of 51 players named to the list.

Joining Lucky are six additional Big 12 running backs, including Hugh Charles (Colorado), Jamaal Charles (Texas), Mike Goodson (Texas A&M), Jorvorskie Lane (Texas A&M), Shannon Woods (Texas Tech) and Albert Young (Iowa State).

McFadden seems to be the leader of that pack from what all the pundits(morons) say.

CASTILLE yeah baby

Make it happen Marlon! :power

He could be a all big 12 and top 5 RB in the nation IF he can stay healthy.

That is a big IF but in his first season where he started and got a majority of the carries I think he did very well. He was only a Sophomore last year and showed some great potential in the open field.

Wow. There are a lot of good backs on that list! Congrats to Lucky. Hope he has a hell of a year!
I would hope that there would be a lot seeing how about half of the starting RB's in D-1 football are on there. Why don't they just say "All #1's on the depth chart are on the preseason list"??? No sense in keeping out the other 68.

And they better check their list. Albert Young plays for Iowa...not Iowa State. A lot of in depth research done obviously.
