Lydon Murtha to the Lions

i would be mad that i got drafted at this point!

it is better to be undrafted and sign as a free agent than to be drafted in the 7th round....

Maybe him and Stafford will be part of a rebuilding effort in Detroit!

Hope not though, don't want them getting in the way of my Vikings. :nanalama

I thought his huge combine would help help more. He was projected to go sooner since he beat every other lineman in the country in testing. I guess they gave him a "workout wonder" tag.

Murtha going to the Lions might not be a bad deal for him. Sure they stunk last year, however with a whole to new staff and offense, his chances at making and contributing should be better than had he gone to a team with an established offense and existing players that know the O inside and out.

I hope he makes the team and plays well. He has the tools - but does he have the mentality. We'll soon see.

You've got a piont there, a lack of competent competition may be his best friend, but I have to admit, I can't ever remember him doing anything all that exceptional while he was here.

That said, good luck Lydon, you're gonna need it.

But injuries are also a problem for him, which is something the scouts took a hard look at I'm sure.
