Maric, Nebraska cruise past Wyoming

HONOLULU -- Aleks Maric scored 22 points to lead Nebraska to a 73-58 victory over Wyoming in the first round of the Rainbow Classic on Wednesday.
Jay-R Strowbridge had 14 points for Nebraska (7-2) and Charles Richardson added 13.

Brandon Ewing led Wyoming (8-3) with 17 points and Eric Platt added 13.
The Cornhuskers led by as many as 12 with 6:24 remaining in the first half. But the Cowboys closed the half on a 12-4 run to narrow Nebraska's lead to 30-26.
Wyoming pulled within two early in the second half and then the Huskers used a four minute, 11-3 run to open up a 52-38 lead with 10:41 to go. The Cowboys would get no closer than eight the rest of the way.
Nebraska advanced to the championship game Friday against Hawaii, an 89-85 winner over San Francisco.
