Toney Mcray from Missouri City, Texas he is a 6'6'' shooting guard out of high school. Nice size and pretty good shot.

Has a bad heart not really sure but had to sit out a lot. his junior His brother died at 19 of heart attack while playing basketball

Sounds like a really good kid

Starting quarterback at 5A school in Texas. Dad was Broderick Thomas former all-american at NU.

Just got grades up recently. recuirted by many including Georgia, Baylor, Washington St, and even a late push by Kansas.

We currently have 16 scholarships promised plus a really good walk on in Verlander. Our highest ranked recuirt Alonzo Ewards is having grade problems so we will have to see how it works out

No relation to Joe, but nother McCray and I'll bet his career here at Nebraska is a lot longer than Joe's. Good recent signings of McCray and Ola's little bro.

Just to clarify, Toney is not Broderick's son. He goes to the same school as Broderick's son, who is the starting QB.

Toney does have a Nebraska connection, however, he is a distant cousin to former Husker Steve Taylor.

McCray averaged 16 points and eight rebounds for Fort Bend Elkins High in suburban Houston. The starting quarterback at that school in Class 5A, the largest class in Texas, is Broderick Thomas Jr., son of former NU All-American Broderick Thomas.
There's another Husker tie, too. McCray's father is a cousin of former Nebraska All-America quarterback and Lincoln resident Steve Taylor.
