Mel Kiper's Five Top Prospects at Each Position

Running Backs4. Roy Helu Jr., Nebraska

He could see his stock drop if Rex Burkhead steals away more carries than he did late last season. The two will enter the season pretty close, but if Burkhead's YPC rises and Helu's falls, so will Helu's touches.
Wide Receivers5. Niles Paul, Nebraska

Put up decent numbers with poor quarterback play in 2009, and his stock could rise if he finds someone to get him the ball consistently. Finished the season with some momentum after catching at least four balls for over 80 yards in three of the final five games.
Cornerbacks3. Prince Amukamara, Nebraska

Joins Jared Crick as the stars of the 2010 Blackshirts, and could have the advantage over Brown of playing in the North, where the quarterback play isn't as solid.
Kickers2. Alex Henery, Nebraska

Should have a shot at the Lou Groza Award, but has to beat out Kiper's No. 1, Kai Forbath of UCLA. Without Henery, Nebraska doesn't win 10 games in 2009, and he could be a big asset to the win total again this year, especially if the offense continues to struggle.
The only thing that has me slightly saddened is that we have no o-linemen on this list. Obviously, these are just projections, but I'm really hoping we can get some linemen drafted this year to show Cotton has been making improvement.

Enhance are you an insider too? Best money I've spent in a while, and the subscription to ESPN the mag is awesome too.

No, I'm no insider. I grabbed this from David Ubben's Big 12 blog. Plus, I think insider info technically falls under the no posting of premium info rule. The only sports things I pay for are HI, ESPN the mag, and SI.

You like the insider info on ESPN? I've never known anybody that has it so I've never looked, personally.

I've been an Insider on ESPN for years because of a money football league I'm in. Apparently it comes with the league membership, along with the magazine. I can't remember the last time I actually read ESPN the Magazine. I read through a few of them early on, but instead of the top-notch sports journalism I thought I was going to get it was just fluff and nonsense, like going to a really nice restaurant and instead of getting a decent meal you get those really tiny portions that look good but contain no food.

Their website doesn't have any true "inside" information, either. I've never seen anything on the Insider stuff that you can't find at the same time on SI.com, Sportsline, or just through google news. It's a sham, and if I wasn't part of that league there's no way I'd pay for Insider.

A lot of the "You must be an insider to see this!" articles never even sound overly interesting. It's usually just some analyst's opinion on something, which doesn't make a lot of sense as to why people would want to pay for it. Or, it's Kiper making some "big change" to his draft board. But, eventually, ESPN will air it or someone will talk about it, and then it's common knowledge.

if you subscribe to the mag you are an insider. Theres a page where you enter a string of numbers off your address label. The mag and insider are one in the same.

Personally I like ESPN the mag. I prefer the writing over some other publications. I also do like Bruce Feldman (don't judge me), and you can only read most of his stuff with the membership. It's only a few dollars per month, so I say what the hell.

Well, I say that when you and I are running ESPN ( :thumbs ) we're just gonna make that stuff free.
