Recruiting is never being iconfident in your sale, until they sign on the dotted line. It can change at that last second. Continuous contact by any means necessary. Kids can change their minds instantly, by what a friend says, of a girlfriend thinks, mom decides against it. Recruiting is a very tough job. I think too much for full time coaches today. IE see Bama. The coaches are only closers it appears, and only when needed.
Towards the end of Vietnam, recruiting for the Marine Corps, was 7 day a week job, Monday through Saturday 8 to 8, Sunday 8-12 or 12 to 4. I know how hard it is, and this program and staff need help as all do, but we have more to overcome than the competition. Not only the local, but other recruiters using any and all things against us. I truly hope we increase the outside recruiting staff, by the same type of numbers that Bama, Florida State and others use.
I am not a believer in the go home and think about it idea. You close the deal at every opportunity, never accepting a second thought. Not a solid idea in sales on any level.
