Practice report: Meredith says he won't be out long
Nebraska sophomore defensive end Cameron Meredith said he doesn't expect to be sidelined long after separating his shoulder in Saturday night's 49-10 victory against Western Kentucky.

"Not a big problem. Common injury. I'll just get a shoulder brace and I'll be fine," Meredith said.

Nebraska coach Bo Pelini said Meredith is "day-to-day." Meredith, a starter, did not practice Monday but said he's feeling fine.

"I got banged up on the shoulder a little bit, but I should be good to go, most likely this week or next week," he said. "We'll see how it is."

Meredith was injured late in the second quarter when he got tangled up with a Western Kentucky lineman.

"My arm was held up on his jersey, and he kind of twisted," he said, "and his whole body weight went down on my arm, and my arm got caught, and then it dislocated that way."

Meredith left the game and did not return. linky
