Hey guys and gals; :bigredn:

Not sure this is the proper thread to put this or if this has been added to the site at any time in the past but this young lad could use our votes to help him get through life with a little more dignity.

The following was copied from another board but if you click the link... it will give you the details you can read for yourselves.

Again; I am not sure this is the proper thread or if the way I am posting it infringes in some way that is not proper... but if it does, I would respectfully request that one of our Mods do whatever they need to do... keeping the voting link open to Huskerboard members who would like to help this young man and his family... Now... the story behind this along with the link to vote...

Respectfully; TAKODA

Greetings,

I am not a member but as a Husker fan I check your site almost daily. Recently, my son was nominated as a “Hero” in a contest to win a wheelchair accessible van. The National Mobility Equipment Dealer's Association is running a contest where nominated "Heroes" are eligible to win a wheelchair accessible van. Each individual's story is put on their website and folks are able to vote daily for who they think is the most worthy. My son Michael was nominated. If you like please click on the link, check out his story, and if you are so inclined fill out the ballot and give him a vote. You can vote once a day. (They ask for your email address, we haven't gotten any spam or anything from it, only a confirmation that you voted)

The page to vote for Michael is:

http://www.mobilityawarenessmonth.co...-haysville-ks/

He is a huge Husker fan (as you can see from his photo). I am not sure if you are able to help us spread the word or not. I was just trying to think of ways to spread the word. Thanks and of course, Go Big Red!

At 8 months old Michael received a traumatic brain injury when one of his primary caregivers shook him and attempted to drown him. When paramedics arrived they had to revive him as his heart was not beating and he was not breathing.
