Now, this isn't another thread about who Ekeler's replacement will be, but rather a story of Ekeler's impact on this program.
I was sitting in the Lincoln airport last Friday after I got back in town from San Diego (I'm in the band) waiting for my luggage to arrive. The football personell had just landed and were getting their luggage when I see none other than Mike Ekeler walk into the terminal. He comes inside looking for his family's luggage when Lavonte David says, "Coach, right here!" Ekeler walks over to him, gives him a hug, and they both start crying. He then walks out of the terminal with his daughter and tears in his eyes.
It's gonna be hard to replace a guy like Mike Ekeler.
