Mike Mayock's #1 QB : Blaine Gabbert -

I really don't see Gabbert amounting to anything for a good few years in the NFL. Put any kind of pressure in his face and he instantly transforms into a seemingly high-school kid that's running around just hoping to survive, not a single thought about looking downfield or remembering the context of down, distance, situation and etc.

That was pretty much the opposite of what Mayock broke down in film on the first play.

I haven't watched too much of Gabbert to know myself though. I did think he looked solid against us this year, but haven't watched him otherwise.

I'd rather hear nails on a chalkboard than listen to Mike Mayock. He's got a bad case of the little man syndrome. He's what mute buttons were made for.

Some nice film breakdown from Mayock on Blaine.

Much as we don't like him or Freeman (although mostly the hard feelings are towards Tyler rather than Blaine), I think these two almost-Huskers are going to see some real success in the NFL, which will be cool to see, sort of.
I feel exactly the same way. Both Freeman and Gabbert are *great* QBs, and both are likely to be successful in the NFL. That's why we recruited them in the first place. I don't think baby Gabbert (Tyler) is cut from the same cloth though. He's more of a douchebag. And less of a QB.
