Minneapolis I-35 Bridge collapses into Mississippi River

Isn't that f'ing crazy!!!!! I can't see how a bridge that they were working on would just collapse for no reason and engineers not knowing that the bridge was unstable!!!! I mean WTH!!!! Hopefully there isn't more than the one person found dead.......................but you almost have to assume that there is. :hmmph

I'll be up in the twin cities this saturday and sunday on my way up to wisconson

wow though that's bizare.......there are now 6 people conforemed dead

I have family up in the twin cities and I just called and found out my nephew drove over that bridge on his way to the Twins-Royals game tonight. Wow, that scared the sh#t out of me.

This is absolutely the worst thing I have ever seen in my life. It reminds me of the San Francisco bay earthquake. I live not too far from this and it is very very sad. The Twins postponed their game for yesterday b/c of this. I still can't believe this happened. It looks like a war-zone up there. Keep these people in your thoughts and prayers...

I'm not trying to take away from the tragedy but my friend is a huge Twins fan and had tickets for this weekend series against Cleveland for months and now he might not be able to go if they cancel the series.

The game is on for Friday night so I would assume the games will be on this weekend. I have tickets to this weekend as well, but that is one of the last things that is worrying me right now. Traffic is going to be a nightmare....even more that it usually is for quite some time.

I think it's amazing that there wasn't more people killed or injured in this tragedy. The fact that traffic was so backed up and the drought was going on up there sounds like it helped the situation out a lot!!!!
