Missouri couldn't have been happy upon learning defensive end Aldon Smith would miss at least two weeks with a broken fibula, a "non-weight-bearing bone" in the leg.
So for now, Missouri will play without its top pass rusher and one of the league's best with three sacks in three games.
Missouri coach Gary Pinkel said the break was high and he'd been told by the training staff that players have played with similar injuries. For now, Missouri will be OK.
Who knows, maybe he wont be back intime for Oct.30th as Sirles is good, but still raw protecting taylors blindside.

That's unfortunate for Mizzou. That's two play makers they'll have to do without for at least a couple games.

Wow. First one of Mizzou’s top offensive players, Washington. And now Alden Smith, one of their best defensive players. It must really suck to be a Mizzou fan now. Even more than it did before.

Expect him to only miss this Saturday. After that, it's a bye week. He'll play Colorado.

He's wearing a bone stimulator 6 hours / day and the break was in the best possible location on the bone.

Reggie Bush broke the same bone last night against the 49er's.

Didnt they declare bush out for 5-6 weeks?
