Yeah it's the real deal. I wish I had my pictures from the 1999 Oklahoma City tornado. I lost them in a system crash by a virus and I didn't have them backed up. :angry: They were pictures of the aftermath up I-44 from Chickasha, OK going northeast. The best pic I had was the grass that was embedded in the K-rail on the turnpike. The tornado literally ripped the grass up, roots and all about 3/4 mile wide crossing the turnpike, heading for those poor people in Moore.
I know exactly what you mean, because I hate snow. I guess each region of the country has it's own drawbacks.

These are pics of the hailstorm north of Oneill, NE on June 17, 2008. Snow plows were called out to reopen Hwy 281. The storm dumped 8 inches of hail.
Wall clouds don't normally touch the ground though do they??? At least none that I've seen have.................
Normally no, but they can. To your point, tornados usually have rotation and debri and are not white and fluffy. Also everyone from CBS, the weather channel and the local news have said it is a wall cloud as well. This picture has gotten a lot of attention since the disaster at Little Sioux because someone released it saying it was from that storm when clearly it wasn't because there isn't anywhere near morehead next to railroad tracks with elevators two buildings and most notably no hills.
I realize they don't look like that I mean I live in Iowa and have seen a few in my lifetime, plus I have to chase them when I'm working to watch where they are going. :wacko:
The source I received this from cannot confirm this either, because it was sent to him. The hail photos however are spot on. They were sent to me by a family member who works for the NDOR.
