MU's Gregory says NU fans are different than rest of B12

Just for fun I would like to see the "alter ego" of the Husker fans come out. It would be intersting to see an opposing team enter a hornets nest and experince a hostile atmosphere.

Another recommendation from an opposing player...yet when the subject comes up on other boards we get no respect for our sportsmanship, that just goes to show that some of the other boards members don't have much of that.

I hope that this is something that we will never lose as Big Red fans...and hope that more people recognize it in the future.
Good Lord! We can't show good sportsmanship! That makes us bad fans!!

:sarcasm

Not to be a hater, but A&M is a lot like Nebraska. Great, gracious classy fans. Unless you are a UT fan, which I was not.

Those fans in College Stationhave something to be proud of too. As does Lincoln.

Despite Cy's clear jealousy against the Jayhawks, which I understand and pity greatly, I won't hold it against ISU fans. For the most part, they are pretty darn cool, nothing awe inspiring, like NU or A&M, but nice people.

Would gladly give up our "nice" fan stigma for a "holy Sh*t they were crazy" comment every once in a while....and by that I mean loud....really loud...... :bonez
Co-signed.

What Gregory is saying basically is that Memorial Stadium is not a hard place to play for a visiting team. <_<
He didn't say that your fans were quiet, just that your fans don't scream the F-word at 5 year olds, like you might find elsewhere.
*cough* *cough* COLORADO *cough*

...

wut?

I took the quote as a compliment. He said that Huskers fans are loud and want their team to win, but they don't harass and say bad things to the visiting team.

:yeah

At least we never have an entire section vacated like Colorado did a couple of years ago.

:rollin

"Let me put it this way, we'd never expect to hear something like that at Kansas," he said, chuckling.[/b][/i]
Until last year, the only thing you heard when playing at Kansas were the crickets...
Sorry Cy, but Mizzou had a sold out crowd when we were awful. That game was interesting for us if we were 0-10. BEating Mizzou has always been worth a lot, no matter how bad it got.
It doesn't hurt that Lawrence is less than an hour from a ton of Mizzou fans, who always helped sell the game out.
