To start it off....I'm upset. And I don't know why. I mean, I do...but I don't. A friend of mine called me during the game asking what the hell was going on. I told him I couldn't tell him. There wasn't just one thing I could point out and say "yep, that's it....there's our problem." It's not just penalties, lack of coverage, play calling, enthusiasm from our team....it's all that and more.
First off, the few things I can remember...Murtha. What the hell were those back to back penalties?
McKeon....what kind of half a$$ push-out-of-bounds tackle was that when OSU scored their second or third TD? It's like he thought the play was dead and decided to give the guy a pat on the back!
WAY too many open receivers during many times.
Nunn reception was crap...he was in bounds
Castille is a monster. I hope he stays on the team for every year he is eligible. That kid just doesn't give up and we need more guys like him.
Purify TRIED to save our a$$ a few times...but no one was able to finish it for him. Or there were penalties called that brought it back.
Where is this amazing leader in Keller? I'm just not seeing it.
The option....remember that little thing that we pretty much invented? Yeah, how come we can't even defend against it?
And do we know how to blitz?
And what the announcers were talking pregame about the coaching staff basically just being employees of the school and don't have the ties to the University that past coaches have.....that really hit hard and shined a light on what might be the problem with our lack of fire.
