My little team is climbing the state rankings!

I am the Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator of my 10U youth football team. So far, we have played 3 games and given up zero points while our offense is averaging 18 points a game. I am so proud of our kids and for their hard efforts we are ranked second in the state of Maryland. Funny thing is the kids have no idea about these rankings and us coaches aren't going to tell them anything. I just keep preaching our team motto..."Fly like an Eagle".

I just started coaching my girls U10 soccer team. I know what you mean about the standings and pride and not telling them. I think I'm having more fun than they are!

I am not trying to be a jerk, and it's great for your team and the kids, but why in the heck are there state rankings for 8-10 year old football teams?

 
That is really cool. I would have to agree that it is a bit out of the norm to see state rankings for 8 year olds. I think it's great that you aren't telling them also.
