Nebraska Day on the BTN

They just have to pay for them, and maybe they're not willing to pay whatever the cost is for those games. I'd imagine the rights holders of many of those games know they would be hot commodities with Husker fans, and they're asking a hefty price for their rebroadcast.
Fair enough, though I wouldn't think the 1996 Fiesta Bowl would be a hotter commodity/cost more than the 1998 Orange Bowl...

...if anything, it would behoove the AD to perhaps purchase the broadcast rights for the BTN on their behalf? It's not like we're Colorado Buffalo broke or anything...and it is advertising for Nebraska.

If anything, it would go over better than their last few commercials, at any rate.
