Nebraska holding Pro Day on Thursday (3/11)

Nexus

All-American
3:15 p.m.:The NFL scouts and front-office personnel aren't coming to see them in particular, but four former Huskers will try to capitalize on their presence during Nebraska's pro day on Thursday.
According to an NU official, Marlon Lucky, Armando Murillo, Thomas Lawson and Shukree Barfield will be among those working out. All four completed their Husker careers with the 2008 season.

Lucky signed with Cincinnati as an undrafted free agent last year but was waived in late August.

The main attraction Thursday, of course, will be Ndamukong Suh. It's just hard to believe the potential No. 1 overall pick will do very much of anything after putting himself on full display at the NFL Combine.

Among others expected to take part in pro day are Larry Asante, Phillip Dillard, Barry Turner, Matt O'Hanlon, Chris Brooks, Menelik Holt and David Harvey. For Turner and O'Hanlon, who weren't invited to the NFL Combine, it will be a huge few hours. O'Hanlon is somebody who might test well for the scouts.

I think o'hanlon has a great shot to be an undrafted free agent if he tests well. The more players that make it the better recruiting will be for us.

Is it rare to have former players work out like that? I have never heard of that before. Maybe I'm just uninformed.
I think it is pretty common now... I know last year Terrence Nunn worked out again (just like Lucky, Murillo, etc...) one year later and I mean that actually worked out for him. I know Nunn got pretty far with the Patriots and they were very impressed with him and then I'm not sure what happened.

I would love to see Lucky get another shot at the league!

I'd love to see Lucky get another shot as well. I know the biggest knock on him was that he never pushed himself and didn't give full effort as often as he should have. It would be really nice to see him doing something great at pro day.

I want to see how much Lucky has improved since last year. I hope he has a good day and gets a shot with another team.

pats were very high on him - nunn was making unreal plays in camp and practice almost daily. After the edelman injury there was some speculation he would get activated (even traveled to london) but 3rd round pick brandon tate got the nod instead. i don't remember if he was released or just stolen away but he wound up on tampa bay's practice squad and is under contract for them for this year.

It has become a lot more common since the NFL Europe folded. There simply aren't as many post college opportunities available to players as there was in the past.

Not trying to be a d!(k but there are quite a few guys listed here I just can't see in the NFL. Hope O'Hanlon can do more than Asante did at the combine. I'm a little surprised Dillard had to wait for pro-day, thought he'd be a combine guy. Turner finished the season strong, maybe he'll surprise.

So the pro day stats in a little under an hour. Does anyone know how long it will be for the results to be announced? Not expecting 40 times aor anything, just if anyone turned the scouts heads.
