Boy that's a tough stat to swallow.

Iowa is now tied with us 3-3 since we joined the conference, but their margin of victory is much higher than ours.

It would be like... really nice, if Nebraska fans could actually swallow some humility and stop with the arrogant sh#t-talking of Iowa's program as some inferior little brother. We're living in the present, and Iowa is currently just as good if not better. Sucks to admit, but f'ing deal with it. We aren't anything scary or special.

Sorry, but that doesn't matter anymore. That record is from what? Over the last 100 years?

Never said that, but I really don't care what happened in 1920 at this point. Saying, "Oh yeah, check the overall record of our series!" Just seems like a cop out to me. We got annihilated by Iowa yesterday, period end of story. What the series record is really doesn't matter to me at this point.

What happened in yesterday has more impact on our program than what happened in 1920. Perception matters, and a huge part of building a successful program is having a successful perception.

No need to be purposefully facetious by framing a false dichotomy wherein either all games of all-time matter the same amount or else nothing before RIGHT NOW counts or matters. There's a massive window in between those two ridiculous extremes.

But if people want to stick to the, "Iowa sucks because we have a lot more wins over them all-time" trope, then I suggest we start paying more reverence to Minnesota as a far superior program to Nebraska.

Ya, you cant have this if you want to win the division. Thats embarrassing. This is the kind of thing you shove in the players faces all year long. Hang a flyer in every players locker. Remind them often in meetings, at practices, when lifting, etc.

And we have to find some dudes to give this team some attitude. We seem so damn flat and uninterested in big games. It irks the hell outta me. The fans should not be more jacked up for games than the players.

I know theres a fine line between being jacked up and too jacked up and unfocused. But i would love to see our players get to the edge of being too jacked up. Cant remember the last time i saw a Nebraska team on edge. Hell, i'd love to see a team over the edge once just so i know its possible.
