Nebraska Lands Arizona State Transfer Alonzo Verge

Originally from Chicago.  One season of eligibility.

Started 30 games over the past two years at ASU.  Averaged 14 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 2.9 apg in 28 minutes.  Scored 43 points against St. Marys two years ago.  Was the Pac-12 Sixth Man of the Year that year.

 
Does he count against the 13 scholarship limit?  He was a senior last year at ASU, so I'd guess he is like Lakes & Webster and doesn't count.  Not that it really matters.

I'm not sure on that.  HOL mentioned we still have one scholarship available for this year and it doesn't sound like we'll probably use it so it probably doesn't matter.

With Banton leaving, we have a scholarship open anyway, right?

 
Verge was a JUCO All-American before going to ASU.  Led the nation in scoring as a sophomore at 30.9 ppg.

 
Imagine that- having some candidates in place in case you lose someone. Quite a concept. 

Fred- can you PLEASE have a talk with the NU Big Wigs- who decide who our AD's are.
