Nebraska starts at #22 in Coaches Poll

Btw, a thread about actual 2014 football news and it jumps to 30+ posts in ten minutes. Football, you guys.

I don't even care if it ends up in the tangent thread. This is the best thing ever. And it's related, kinda.

She's the quintessential SEC fan.

Seems like #22 is about right for us. We've been solid the past few years under Pelini. Not earthshattering, but solid.

Just looking down our schedule, if we can take care of business against Miami we could easily be in the mid teens--say 15th or so--by the time we face Sparty in October. A win at Lansing, and the sky is the limit!

I would never look past that trip to Fresno. Especially coming right before a pretty big home game against Miami. Classic trap game.
True dat. Could be a real tough game. They have some transfer QB and all their receivers returning this season. Not sure what Fresno has on defense though.
I hope they return everyone on D.

Worst thing about this is calling it the "Amway" coaches poll.

Who does the sponsorship money go to? Who collects the naming rights fees? And how cynical has college football become that we have to have a corporate sponsor for a friggin' poll???

Do you have some time to sit with me and let me tell you about all the wonderful polls we offer? You could be making your own polls in just a few months!

My folks were big-time into Amway back in the 1980s. Dad still uses tons of Amway products to this day. Their stuff isn't bad, it's the bizarro cultish nature of their business model that's scary.

No, the top 2 guys are gone.

I'm really surprised that Missouri isn't ranked at all. And Florida being #27 is lols.
Missouri lost a lot on offense. New quarterback and I don't think any of their starting receivers have more than 10 career catches at MU. It's still a surprising lack of respect when they were runners up last year.

Losing their most efficient weapon in Dorial Green Beckham was crippling
Oh, I agree. But, they went 12-2 last year. I guarantee that if you changed the logo to Florida or Georgia, they'd be getting more love.

Well shoot. I was just reading a preseason review of Fresno State this morning, before this thread started. LINK I read it wrong. Two of their top three receivers are gone, rather than returning. More better for us!

Head to Head, in the swamp. I bet Mizzou easily beats Florida.
