Huskers are 1.5 point favorites with an over/under of 136.5. ESPN gives them a 50.3% chance to win.

Essegian, Burt & Jarusevicius are out. Not sure about Curtis - they said they were shooting for either Iowa or Penn State for his return before the Northwestern game.

I’m glad the first one of the series is at their house.

They just need to show up with the intensity as though they are playing Michigan.

Seeing some lines have trended toward Iowa - Showing them a 1.5 favorite now.

At the start of the season I said we would do good to split with them. Now I will be disappointed if we don't sweep. They have been a slow starting team recently. We need to jump on them early and get that fast start that Fred preaches about.
 
I haven't watched Iowa much this year, but looking from 30k feet they seem like a 1 man team. Stirtz has been their leading scorer in 12 of their 14 B1G games.

Their 4 best wins are at Indiana, at Washington, vs UCLA, vs USC. They have lost to every ranked team they have played (at Iowa St, at Michigan St, vs Illinois, vs/at Purdue), as well as at Minnesota (who has taken down multiple ranked teams at home) and at Maryland (inexplicable).

They are coming off 2 straight losses (you can call that either bad or good...) at Maryland by 7 and home to Purdue by 21.

Maryland is playing better so maybe not as bad a loss as it seems on paper. They beat Minnesota on the road the game before Iowa.

Stirtz is their offense but he is tough to stop. 36 against NW, 19 against Purdue, 32 against Maryland, 22 against Washington, etc... He is averaging 28 ppg over the last 5 games. He will get his points but we need to limit their other production like Purdue did. He was their only scorer in double figures in that game.

I think we are the better team but its Iowa at their house so naturally will be a tough game. We need to limit the turnover trend we have been on lately. If we keep it under 10, I think we walk away from them for a comfortable win but if we play like we did against NW early, it could be anyone's game.

Their coach said he is going with a different starting lineup for this game. It means a lot to them to beat us so we will get their best shot.
 
This game should be making fans a little nervous IMO. Forget that it is in Carver, where NU teams normally go to crap, but this Hawkeye team could be pretty problematic. They run clock. Game will be shortened as they use the shot clock. NU gets down a little or have a Purdue/Northwestern/Indiana type 1st half and possessions will be limited. Unlike Fran's teams, they actually play a little defense now under Ben. And with their 5 out offense they are pretty good at moving the ball around and kicking out of double teams to shooters.

Get out quick, protect the ball and limit Bennett to around 18 and it should be a good night. BUT it is in Carver, so expect a guy or two to shoot out of his mind.
 
I don't think Iowa is better than Nebraska, but this is Big 10 basketball and anybody can win on any given night. It would be nice to see Nebraska crack 80 points on offense in this one.
 
Frager guarding Stirtz is a terrible thing. Especially when Frager gives Bennett his right hand the whole time
