Smart business move, and it's really nothing more complicated than giving a rare collectible for something insanely popular to attendees. It'd be like giving away an exclusive one of a kind Beanie Baby in the 90's, except with 30 more years of momentum for ~collectible culture~

Without the halftime show I doubt folks will stick around, but even if they do it won't necessarily be a "hostile" environment.
