I like this team.  That said this could have been a 15-20 point win.  Missed dunks, players cutting to the lane and not focusing on receiving the pass, not boxing out and allowing Illinois to get late in the shot clock offensive rebounds and easy put backs are killers vs better teams.  Palmer and Taylor showed up but Copeland all but vanished except for the nice rejection late In the game and one bucket. Roby should have had 18 instead of 9.  I hope he becomes our Shavon Shields of the future.  I think he has that potential.

 I LOVED Shields and still think he is a top all time Husker.  I don't see Roby being like that but he can end up being decent.

The Illini played 4 true freshmen in that game.  That is a scary thought.  

The good news for NU and their fans, they won.

 
Illinois is really bad at basketball. And we almost let Finke take us down.

Past Husker teams would have lost this game... a win is a win and now on to Michigan(technically stay home and michigan comes to us)... Need to play way better to have a chance against them.

 
Very ugly win but it still counts. Hopefully we can improve on our rebounding and free throws. Fixing those issues will help a lot.
