Nebrasketball vs Winthrop

For anyone going to the game tonight that doesn't donate enough to the booster club to get a parking pass for lots near PBA, the Class A football championship is tonight at 7:15, so parking will be at a premium. This is the second time in the last 2-3 years that they've had a basketball game the same date/time as the Class A game.

What kind of BS is having a state championship football game on a Tuesday?

Doesn't really matter for Class A. It's always going to be Omaha/Lincoln schools, so it's an easy drive for fans/parents+ most schools are closed all/most of Thanksgiving week so no missed school.

That's just one game. All the other classes were either today or yesterday.

I think they schedule these so they know they can be using Memorial Stadium. Put it on Friday or Saturday, it would have scheduling issues with the University in lots of years.

They shouldn't schedule home basketball games the same day as any of the championship games because parking becomes a pain in the tush. It's not like the athletic department didn't know that Memorial Stadium would be in use. Classes A & B would create the most issues for parking, but they would all create issues.

Sidney played earlier today... bit of a drive for those families.
