Need a website

I need to create a website for our youth baseball association. I've looked on line and I'm looking at usine eteamz.com to build the site. They have all the extras we need (ability to sell advertising)if I go with the extra package. The cost is $4.50 per month.

Anyone have any experience building a website with eteamz.com or maybe using another site?

Any help you have would be appreciated.

Thanks

No experience with eteamz.com.

After briefly looking through the site, looks pretty good to me. Unless you have a close friend that does html that will work for free, you aren't going to get a much better deal than that. Sites that allow laypersons without html knowledge to input information into data fields that upload directly into the website are a good strategy. Otherwise, alot of the money (after initial startup) in websites is updates, and with all the information input allowed on the site, you are going to want to be doing that stuff for free yourself.

If you ever consider having a custom site made, my biggest piece of advice is to make sure that you are the one who controls the hosting. As in you control all access and passwords - you are the owner and contact. Most web hosting companies (ie:godaddy, I like the guys at fatcow) charge around 50-75 buck annually for the hosting of a site. This essentially is the rental of the online real-estate where your website resides. One of the biggest ways internet designers gouge clients is to be the middle man for hosting. Instead of charging you the 50-75, they charge 20 or 30 or 50 a month to sit on their hands. Personal hosting provides you with quite a bit of control. First, you control password access to edit the site. Don't like a designer you hired? Fire him, reset the password, and they cant access the site anymore. Unlimited email addresses - which you can freely designate. Analytics - how many people have visited the site, and where they are visiting on the site. A bunch of other stuff too.

For what your looking for though, the eteamz.com looks like a good thing.
