New BCS System

we have to wait until January 8th to play the National Title game now?!??!!

I don't think I can wait that long to win another National championship

;)

I'm not sure I'm happy with this all. This really doesn't seem to solve the BCS controversy. It just seems they just added more games and made more teams eligible for a bowl game. Does that really accomplish anything?

Why is everyone shying away from the playoff idea?

So this is basically nothing new? Same controversy still in place like in 01 (Nebraska) and 03 (Oklahoma)?

That damn Notre Dame thing has been around for awhile. I think before it was 11 wins or something like that. either way its gay. join a damn conference.

:yeah there shouldn't be special treatment just because they don't wanna join a conference

*join the big ten since they're in the geographic area, and it's more then "10" teams anyway

Then they could call it the BIG XII II.

That's an insult to the Big XII.

The Big ten did give them an invite but ND turned it down.which is strange cause ND plays at least three B-10 teams every year.

It's not strange. ND get's a whole lot of money and special treatment by not being in a conference.

they're thinking "we're livin it up, why should we down grade, join a conference and be a 'normal' collegiate football school?" and another thing they're probably thinking is.."hey..we are conference champions every single year!"

The old ND double standard. One set of rules for them and one for the REST of college football.

It's interesting how my 9 year old son likes the NFL better because he "doesn't understand college". When I asked him what he didn't understand, he said he just doesn't get how they find a champion...wanted to know where the playoffs were. I told him college was just messed up like that...
