Ummmmm.......no. Start a new conference because you can't compete in the one your in ?. How about start competing with the big boys in this conference instead of jumping ship so Nebraska can look good again. Jeesh.

Iowa State and Kansas State can take the Mountain West route when the Big XII implodes in a few years. We have better options, and the best option is right where we are now.

Ultimately it is about money. Not the fans. Also recruiting. B1G Network. This would be a setback in all those areas.

I would agree. If I could pick 4 team: OU, KS (basketball), Notre Dame (for some reason their seems to be a riff between them and Big 10 as they would seem to be a natural fit), and Louisville. Other option: OU, Louisville, GT- (to get us down into the south recruiting area), Missouri or skip GT and take KU basketball.

Kansas State becoming a non Power 5 team is going to be the greatest gift of all conference realignment. The only thing tbat would make it better would be Mizzou and or Colorado getting kicked out and having to settle for the AAC or Mountain West.
