New to state and attending 1st Husker game vs Wyoming

I searched threads before posting so I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere.

Heading to Lincoln to see my first Husker game and need advice about arrival time and parking for an 11:00 am game. We are driving in from the Omaha area. I am thinking about driving in extra early to catch some pre game activities if someone can point me in the right direction.

I believe there is a thread with a lot of good information, but I would get there early and you will see tons of people walking downtown and tailgating or hanging out in the bars. I actually enjoy getting to the stadium at least an hour before gametime as there is a lot to take in. Here is a link to parking options:

I usually book my parking a week or couple weeks in advance...that way you are prepaid and have a spot reserved ahead of time.

11am game, probably best to leave Omaha by 7. That will roughly get you to your parking by 8 or 815.

It might seem just a little dead at first but it is really cool to see the build up of fans from 8am to 9am to 10am.

I wouldn't worry a lot of parking it never seems difficult to find a spot.
