News Conference...right now...

Brett Byford - "It's not the playbook, it's the execution...guys staying on blocks, etc."

:thumbs :thumbs

I finally understand. All the coaches talk in code that requires the Capin Crunch double secret code ring to understand. :LOLtartar

And by execution do you think he mean execution of a few positions on the staff???????

Let me eat some capin crunch get my dam ring and ill let u know!

:laughpound :laughpound

According to the LJS blog, Callahan opened up the news conference with the following statement.....

"I think as we get going I think it's important to understand that no one, and I mean no one wants to win more than I do. And I think it's really important to understand that we as a staff, and as a program, and as a team, hate to lose. And it's important to know that it destroys us emotionally to go through what we did the last week. It hurts us. We're disappointed, but nonetheless we've got to move on and we got to move on in a hurry."
Callahan said "we feel an obligation to this state. We feel when we lose, the fans expect so much from us, and we felt that we let them down. And we want our fans to understand what we're going through. We hurt as a football team, and it hurts us greatly when we lose in the fashion that we did the other night. I just want that to be said so people understand that there is passion in this program. There is a strong conviction and belief in what we're doing. There's a belief in what this program stands for. That's why I came here. I love this place. I love our team. And I love the opportunity to coach here."

Then f*cking prove it the rest of the season

Reporters are a bunch of pussies.....they get in Sam's grill and ask him tough questions, they didn't ask Callahan any tough questions.

Other then getting coach speak what do you really think they get out of Callahan by asking tough question?

You probably get more of a feel for the team mindset then by how the players answer then the coaches.
Regardless don't ask the 23 year old college student...ask the coach who gets paid 1.7 million a year
:yeah

I think he just replaced "cosgrove" with "Me" and "us". This statement was read after the Ball St. game...remember. Feel sorry for us, we really feel bad.

This is a joke of a statement. He should say, I feel personally responsible and I will make sure the coaches get us on track. We are playing below OUR standards.

He put it on the whole state and fans "expect so much". We expect NOT to be embarrassed week after week.

He absolutely needs to go. He is passing the buck once again. Making everyone realize that they are sad (when they should be mad), we expect so much (when we just want decent effort), a strong conviction in what we're doing (by who????) And I can't believe he is SO in LOVE with Lincoln after 3 years. This guy is total BS.

"We have a lot of coaches that other people want, I can assure you of that"

LOL, yeah I'm sure the UCLA fans are dancing in the streets with Norvell. Let's open up the bidding. Let's see who we can sell Coz to. I would like to see if anyone is willing to place a bid on BC as well. I think we're all forgetting that BC made Mandell's I believe list as honorable mention worst coach. Yeah, I'm sure AD's are adding BC's number to their speed dial just in case he's let go! :sarcasm

We may have a lot of players other people want, but there's no way in HELL we have coaches that a lot of people want. We were once eating ribeye steaks for every meal as husker fans. Now, we're stuck with eating sh#t samwiches for every meal and being told it's steak. This is one used car that Pud will never be able to sell me!
