All-Conference
Although still savoring this break-through year, I got to thinking about the expanded conference schedule for the future.
Still miffed about the weirdness of having 3 of our 4 closest geographic foes be only single-gamers (Minny, Iowa, Wisky) and how that stifles not only rivalries but travel, I wonder if that will be a consideration in the future?
With the addition of Maryland and Rutgers and the football divisions going to East and West, wouldn't the obvious solution be to play each of your 6 division opponents home and home and each of the other division teams once? That would give you 12 + 7 (19) conference games without any built-in bias, and yet still keep the conference schedule manageable.
Anyone know if that has been discussed/decided/ or mulled upon by the scheduling wizards in the bowels of the B!G offices?
