14. Nebraska Cornhuskers

Players to watch: OLB Randy Gregory, RB Ameer Abdullah, WR Kenny Bell, S Corey Cooper, LB David Santos

The outlook: The Cornhuskers are no longer a perennial power, but that doesn't stop NFL scouts from studying Bo Pelini's rosters. The Cornhuskers have produced 23 NFL draft picks over the past six years, with a pair of first-round selections (Ndamukong Suh andPrince Amukamara) during that span. With Gregory and Abdullah already generating buzz as potential first-round picks, the Cornhuskers will continue to attract NFL evaluators to campus.

Newcomer in the spotlight: CB Byerson Cockrell. The JUCO standout should push for playing time immediately at corner. Measuring 6-foot, 185 pounds, Cockrell has the length to play on the outside, while also displaying the quickness to move into the slot as a possible nickel defender.

fits with Santos as a guy to watch.....

CB Byerson Cockrell? Why have I not heard of him before? I don't exhaustingly search our roster but it seems I should've heard about an immediate impact juco type.

Was said to be battling for the second starting CB spot this spring but played Safety during the first practice Monday. We'll see what the reports are from tonight's practice....

Funny they list Santos. I would put him as the 3rd most talented LB. Zaire being top and a senior. Guess he didn't play enough from injuries to get noticed. Rose is better but too young. Banco could be better than all of them but no game film.

The youngsters on the team will keep us in this list for years.
