NHL 2025-26

Nelson is firmly 2C so Kadri is either wing with him or 3C IMO. He should add to the power play though which could be the X factor here as that's the only hole on this team right now.
I agree. Brock is firmly entrenched at 2C. I’d be okay with 3C but that seems a little below his pay grade. So likely 2nd line wing and PP use.

And what a hole the PP has been 🤦‍♂️ There is no logical reason for it but it has been pretty horrible. I want to blame the ST coach Hakstol.

I hate the Pens, but 5 games for that is BS.
They’ll come down pretty hard on intentional stick to the head, especially on a repeat offender. But yeah, I thought it shoulda been more like 3-4 games max considering he didn’t really injure him.

I still think it's maybe 1-2 games max.

This one had no suspension lol

You never know what you're gonna get from NHL Player Safety

Holy shyt.
If NHL player safety is anything it’s inconsistent.

When my son was about 11, playing roller hockey in a tournament in Des Moines, an opponent purposely readjusted his stick in his hands and butt end speared him in the back. Roller hockey didn’t have much for upper body armor/pads. I told him if anybody ever took that cheap of a shot at him again to axe chop him in the head….just like Trouba just did 🤣

I think the injury to Crosby was more accidental but this sh*t is pretty blatant

That’s what Gudas does. He’s a hard-nosed banger and sometimes he crosses the line to intent to injure. I would guess the league comes down on him pretty hard, especially since it was a star player, and Toronto no less.

Matthews done for the year, torn MCL
That’s too bad for Matthews (even if I’m not a big fan of his).

Must watch viewing…
Toronto at Anaheim March 30th. Although I have my doubts Gudas will be back from suspension. My guess is he is done for this season. I think he’s had about 5 prior suspensions.

Edit- well so much for my guess. Gudas was given 5 games….puts him back well before the Ducks and Leafs meet on March 30th.
