No bowl sucks.

I don't feel the need to explain to anyone that my team made it to a bowl. The rule is simple. 6 wins, you can go to a bowl. Because NU's fans travel well, we'll probably get a bowl every time we get six wins.

There is nothing really to explain.

Now, that being said there is no way to explain 2001.

You might not be able to explain 2001, but it's easy for me: I just simply point out OU getting totally embarrassed by KState in the Big 12 Championship game in 2003 then going on to play for a NC. At least in 2001, our ONLY loss was to a team some thought should play for a NC and they played in a BCS bowl. This year, LSU lost to 2 teams that aren't even ranked in the top 25 BCS standings. Ohio State lost to the only ranked team they played all year. All of this makes explaining 2001 a lot easier for me.

To bad Nebraska didn't just except that they were beat by a couple of better teams, and continued what they were doing, instead of junking a system that shown it could get NU where they wanted. Maybe Ohio St believed in what they were doing more. I never understood why the offense took the blame when it was apparent it was the defense all along and still looks like it's still the defense.
