No longer a rumor

Unless they are using this site as a source, multiple news agencies have reported it: Pelini is the new coach! So I know there is that other forum... but it doesn't need to be there anymore... just a thought.

I know some of us are excited by this decision... does anyone else have this slight feeling of dread?

Go read the rumor board. Osborne has not confirmed anything and in the report above that you sited Pelini is denying the rumors. It originated at BSPN so that tells you everything. They just recently said that Tuberville was going to Arkansas which proved to be WRONG. We won't have a new head coach until Osborne announces it from the podium. If it's Pelini fine but right now it's all just RUMOR and that's where this post belongs!

Well i hope everyone is right about that i guess ill just have 2 wait untill sunday or monday even thoe im going nuts  :w00t

If true......which is probably the case....... I am not thrilled....not disgusted either......on the fence.... I see a lot of good in Bo, but I also don't think he is the 2nd coming........ He really concerns me..

People just seem to think that because the D lack passion under Coz, that we need a "fire" guy......At DC, yes, but not as HC...... Hell, the Alamo Bowl all of the "lovers" like to refer to, we barely 17-3 beat a very very average Michigan State team, whose coach was a lunatic (John L. SMith)..... and during the game, the great Pelini got a 15 yd personal foul that put MSU into NU territory ....luckily, didn't cost us the game or put MSU "back into the game"...... He has no "people skills' and is a hot-head.......

I will support Bo, and think that he will definatley get kids to run through walls......but NU could have done better as already stated....and if NOT, this program is a lot deeper in the hole than many of us would like to believe...

I want to see Bo handle the hard-pressing questions after a loss, and see how his "people" skills come out... will he be like Mike Gundy and be a national joke for weeks......could be a PR nightmare.....

But......could lead us to a Big 12 championship and put us back into the top 10 !!!!!! :restore

I told you, I am completely on the fence....but once TO makes this official.....Bo will be my man, and I will support him until he gives me a reason not to.....I hope everyone else who isn't sold on Bo will do the same thing...support him and the program....

This article shows why there should be some concern.

Several LSU athletic department employees, including members of the football staff, said all day Friday that Pelini had already accepted the Nebraska job. No one wanted their name used, however. But trust me, he's gone.
"I heard Pelini's been gone for six weeks," one LSU fan said in the lobby of the purple and gold Marriott Marquis on Friday night. "That's about when LSU stopped having a defense."

Good point. It was Oct. 13 at Kentucky. That's when everything went south and Pelini went north. He should have just announced his new job this week and left town. He is the reason LSU will not be in the BCS national championship game. It's not an injury here and there. LSU's "No. 1" defense let this team down because Pelini doesn't know how to blitz like LSU's former defensive coordinator — Nick Saban.

"We had a blitz for every state in the country," said a relative of one of LSU's best veteran defensive players Friday. "Now, I don't know what we have."

Pelini came into LSU three years ago never giving Saban any credit for authoring the best defenses in LSU history since Charles McClendon. And Pelini will leave three years later never starting a player regularly not signed by Saban.

He even offered subtle criticism of Saban right off, saying coaches should not make their players have to learn such complicated schemes. He would let his players play. That worked for a couple of years. For the last several weeks, LSU has needed a Wyoming or Wisconsin blitz. This is the SEC, Bo. You have to be complicated. Apparently interim Nebraska athletic director Tom Osborne didn't see the Arkansas game film. Good luck, Bo. Or should I say, good luck Nebraska?

But Pelini is the least of LSU's worries. Even if Pelini didn't get the Nebraska job, he'd probably be gone anyway, even if Miles stays. Because Miles has been watching the films since that Kentucky game, too, and wondering what is going on.
Interesting, a coach that is too arrogant to give any credit to those that came before him. Many had given Callahan that tag here. I guess it's different now, because everything is different when it comes to teh Pelini!!!!11 :sarcasm

Osborne says "would not give credence to that"...Pelini denies

Ladies and Gents....be patient you'll get your man Mr. Turner Gill
This is getting insane. I wish we had snow for me to go shovel. Unfortunately this is a day where my mom wont let me go outside and play so I am reading all this trash, and I love it. I think we might have buyers remorse after a couple of years if its Bo. either way, I will support my college and give a little more $$ next year than last year.
