No surgery

No surgery for Dorn.

Multiple doctors diagnosed the injury to Dorn's ulnar-collateral ligament as a "mild sprain," Anderson said. Dorn, who will continue to rest the arm this summer, plans to start a progressive throwing program in the fall.

"It's something, obviously, that we're going to be very careful with," Anderson said. "We'll get him going and start slow, but there is absolutely no reason right now why he shouldn't be able to get back to normal at some point (during fall practice.)"

Good deal. Surgery is never good. Hopefully he'll be back and fairly healthy for fall practices.

Good news! Hopefully this won't turn into one of those Kerry Wood and Mark Prior deals though, where he seems to be healthy and makes a comeback early....then reinjures himself and is never at full strength. That is a big reason why my Cubbies can't get it going this year. Dorn could be the anchor to another great staff next spring, I am looking forward to it-atleast once football is gone! GBR! :horns2
