actually, *nothing* looks as bad as OSU reaming from Florida.Kinda hard to keep a 5 loss team in the rankings, even if 4 of the losses are to top 10 teams. That Cotton Bowl loss doesn't look as bad after Florida destroyed OSU.
For next year? No I haven't seen any, but i would bet that we would be pretty high with the talent coming back. One of the radio DJ's just read off the USA Today's Top 25, namely the Big 12 teams and he said and I quote "Nebraska pre-season ranked #13". Anyone hear or see pre-season rankings already???
Pre-season rankings are a joke. Nothing but a media tool to hype up early season matchups. Pre-season #2 vs. preseason #9.....Oooohhhhh a 'big' matchup to start the season. Or it gives a great story to an 'unknown' unranked team that knocks off a top #25. See Iowa '06 for example. One of the radio DJ's just read off the USA Today's Top 25, namely the Big 12 teams and he said and I quote "Nebraska pre-season ranked #13".
