K-State vs. Nebraska placed on six-day list

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Kansas State Athletics Department has been informed by the Big 12 Conference that ABC Sports will exercise its first of three six-day options when selecting its broadcast schedule for Oct. 14.

As a result, the Nebraska at Kansas State game has been placed on a six-day ready list and may be televised by TBS at 6 p.m. (CT) or Fox Sports Net at 11:30 a.m. If the game is not selected by TBS or FSN, the Wildcats and Cornhuskers will not be televised and will kick off at 2:35 p.m. (CDT).

ABC’s lone broadcast window is at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 14. The network will televise either the Iowa State at Oklahoma game or the match-up between Missouri and Texas A&M.

FSN will telecast either the Baylor at Texas contest or K-State’s game vs. Nebraska at 11:30 a.m. (CDT).

TBS has placed all four of the games on its ready list.

By being placed on the league’s six-day ready list, Kansas State will not be able to announce the kickoff time for the Nebraska game until Sunday, Oct. 8.

Hate to say this, but for a regional/national audience, the NU-KSU game is probably the least attractive of those 4. OU and UT will get every game televised that they play and the other game could feature an undefeated team and a 1 loss team. Maybe if KSU didn't suck so bad. Perhaps a road trip is in order...

 
I think if both teams win it will be on tv somewhere. Hopefully in the night slot on TBS. That would be cool. I think that the UT-Baylor game is the game we are battling with for tv. Baylor isn't very good, but UT is, so...

 
im hopin TBS, my TV gets ABC in terribly, and stupid DirectTV doesn't get FSN.....

plus TBS shows the game again at like 1 in the morning that night, so i could watch it again.

 
Your DirectTV doesn't get FSN. I have it, and I get like 50 of them. You better call them and cause some heads to roll!

 
Yeah, I just don't get NBA or MLB games because they are blacked out. But last week I could have watched the game on like 30 different channels.

My best guess is that TBS will get whatever ABC doesn't pick. I think it'll be between the KSU game and the UT/Baylor game at 11:30am on FSN.

 
An 11:30 would be fine with me. Wake up and watch the Huskers. GBR! And I just realized homecoming is on that day, so it better be an early game!

I remember when I had homecoming when NE played Notre Dame in 2000, I told my date I wasn't going if we lost, of course we didn't so I went, of course that was a day game.

Anyway, point of story is ditch your date for the Huskers unless she's THAT hot. :thumbs
