NU Recruiting Coordinator/Staff?

Eric the Red

Team HuskerBoard
Guys...where exactly are we with this department? Are they still advertising the position? Is everything filled? What has the AD said lately about it?

When someone finds out, please make sure to tell Wifi. I'm sure he'd like to know.

I know one position has been filled for sure and I heard that they were close to filling the second as well but I don't know any details.

Great then we might have 10% of the staff of Bama. Makes sense to me. Spend the money to win! Truly the most important part of college football and we seem to try to do what others do with a fraction of what the other big boys do.

Pretty sure Bo someone posted Bo asked for six and got two.

Can you give us any info about this hire? Do they have coaching experience? Any ties to the program? Are they a recognizable name?
No coaching experience but tons of ties to the program as he's an "insider." Definitely recognizable. It's wifi.

I know Bo asked for more, but poor Nebraska did not have the money, desire to be competitive with the teams of the SEC. Bo, again not my favorite, should not be ham strung by the money side. If Bama can have a 30 man division for football recruiting, why can't we. Bo needs to concentrate on football, and be the closer if needed. Comparatively he is underpaid for all the hats he has to wear/ the jobs he has to do vs Saben, Miles, Richt and Spurrier. We need to give him a chance to do the job. If the NCAA allows them to have so many more, why aren't we. A lot of our problems are on Bo's back, but this is one area where he is not getting the support the job demands. Sad to think a few dollars will hold us down. But it always seems to be about money. Quick to spend for hard items, assets, but afraid to try something different that has been proven to work in the most successful conference.

This just bothers me. I don't understand this mindset to not take advantage of a "full" staff. There isn't some stupid by-law in the big10 about not being able to have that many recruiting coaches is there? Too lazy to try to find out.

Is this the thread where we pretend Nebraska is financially strapped and Perlman is deliberately hamstringing the #1 revenue generating operation for the anything associated with the University of Nebraska?

Ok. Noted
