I find it interesting that simply throwing money at the issue is a worthy option.
How do you just hire 30 people to match Alabama's staff and ensure they are doing the job that is required of them? Now granted, they could have hired more than 2 but maybe taking the methodical approach is the right approach. Hire 2 to understand what is expected of them and then grow from there. I don't claim to know that this is the method they are going with but it makes sense.
When I hire people to work for me, I don't hire 10 people at once. It's too difficult to train and get my point across to everyone and ensure they know what my expectations are of them. I hire a couple and get them trained and then hire a couple more, train them and let the current employees show them how to do things, then I hire a few more, etc......
Bo asked for 6 to start, and was given 2 spots.
I find it odd that we're concerned about keeping this football staff manageable, but we have no problem hiring more assistant AD's.
I am willing to assume that if Bo wins, and stays, he then would probably be given more of what he wanted, be it recruiting staff, money, what have you.
So..............
We are hamstringing him then? We're NOT giving him everything he needs/wants?
That would be the point. We're not saying he's not getting anything. We're saying it's not enough. You can spew your figures and such to everyone else all you want. But it's not enough. Why? Becuase it can be more. It NEEDS to be more. Regardless of who the coach is and/or how much they win, the FOOTBALL PROGRAM-NOT THE COACH, should be given a blank check. Especially if the money's there. And whether it be boosters or revenue, you can bet your a$$, it's there. Just give the man what he wants or what he needs. But we haven't been, for whatever the hell reason.
