NU Rushing Attacks Explodes this Week

Not much more to it. I see Lucky running for over 130 yards (which of course contradicts my prediction in the other thread).

3 rushing touchdowns by end of first half....

GO BIG RED RUNNING!

Not so sure about this...NU has not shown any ability to run the ball thus far this season, so I don't really buy into the idea that Lucky will rush for 130 yards...not until I see it...the whole team didn't get but 130 yards rushing last week.

I honestly think the run game will emerge this week as well. I think it'll be very balanced among Lucky, Helu, and Castille. If I had to put numbers on it: Lucky for 90, Helu for 65, and Castille with 45. Nothing too flashy, but oh so effective. It will be interesting to see if ISU can take us out of our offensive game plan.

I really like the spread look we used last week, if we keep it up it'll definitely open up the running game.

Lucky actually looked like he did his first year against TT. He was moving a lot better when he got to the line, instead of just putting his head down and running in to the first tackle he saw. Made some great moves at the line. 130 yards I don't know about that, but he has the talent to do it.

GBR!!!

I agree if we keep with the spread we will be able to run the ball at will, but with 3 running backs swiching in and out I don't think Lucky will get 130. I do think we could get between 150-200 yds on the ground but not with the same back. But hopefully he can atleast get 100 by himself, it would also be nice to see Helu come out and show is true potential and gain some big yards.

Hope you're right. I'd still like to see us try and stick with one back (my choice would be Helu for what it's worth) and allow him to get into the rhythm of the game. Most good backs tend to get stronger as the game progresses and the more touches they get, our backs aren't able to do this because of the revolving door in the backfield. Having said that, I've no doubt Bo knows a helluva lot more than I do about the RBs and where they are most productive so whatever he chooses to do is fine with me.

will have to see what works, i would like to see them attack their secondary early to find any weakness, if we jump up early i think we will be too much for the clowns. We do need to limit the damn turnovers though :madash
