Pre appologies for spelling and grammar

Just wanted to talk about what people think will be game plan for ISU. (Please no B.S. aka "balanced attack" quotes) Please keep it to intellegent comments, no flaming, no Fire X coach.

Thank you.

Win, and don't give up hundreds of points and thousands of yards.

Defense: I think we need to attack with a vengence. Hit like they are trying to seperate the body from the pads and wrap up. A reactive defensive gameplan will get you burned all day with the athletes in the game today, and yes this cyclone offense has some very good athletes. We should be able to match up and shut them down if our talented players come together and smack them hard and repeatedly.

Offense: Sam is the man right now. Our line needs to get a mean streak and open some holes for the running backs. Until we can make the defense stop the run they will be cheating more towards pass defense. We have the horses to get it done either way and I think a little attitude would go a long way to improving their confidence.

Just my opinion

I would run Castille, right up the middle, all the way to Israel! ALL DAY!

We need to pass the ball downfield. I would pass ALL DAY! I tell you so you know this.

The defense? Yes, this defense is also a problem. Hmmmmmm.

I would tell the defense to think! Yes, think hard before every play.

And run up and tackle the man with the ball!

I would play five defensive backs. I like the nickel package. I do not lie to you.

Why do we beat Ball State by just one point? I do not know the answer to this question.

Listen to me, Huskers, and we will win many games.

Love the Ahmadinejad post.

On defense, I think we use some blitzes from the edges to keep Meyer from getting out of the pocket on the run. He could pose some huge problems for us given our poor defensive line play and his mobility (a la Nate Davis). It will be interesting to see what kind of schemes Coz comes up with (or doesn't) to keep him in the pocket and apply some pressure. Hopefully our d-line play improves. I really think the unit will get better every week.

On defense, although Toledo put up 36 on them, 7 came on a kickoff return and 7 on a fumble recovery. I think our defense contains them pretty well and allows BC to really commit to the run for most of the first half and wear them down. In the second half, open it up and let Sam do his thing.

I am also predicting one kickoff or punt return for a tuchdown. On kickoff returns, Toledo's Parmele averaged 46.7 per return on three attempts, including an 82 yd touchdown. It's time for the great special teams play we have to start paying dividends.

I just got off the phone with Lou Holtz, and he told me his plan for Nebraska this week:

The defenth hath got to get better. They look like my dear old Domerth did in 1986th. Ethpethially the linebackerth. They need to thtep up and at leatht attempt to make the tackleth.

Ath for the offenthive playerth, Tham Keller thould be able to Path, Path, Path on thith I eth U defenth. And for the running backth, Thake and Bake Baby! Thake and Bake.

:clap :rollin

Offense: Well, ISU sucks so I wouldn't show a new attack because of Missouri. I would run the ball to death in order to "shorten" the game so our defense isn't always on the field. If this works stick with it like Nevada. If not, go passing almost all game. Against Missouri I would pass all day long and don't bother with the run until mid-late second quarter.

Defense: I have stated elsewhere but bring Ruud up near the line, outside of the strong side DE and move the DE in to play straight up on tackle. Bring Culbert up from a Strong Safety spot and have him play the weak side. Ruud and Culbert will be responsible for outside contain and TE and RB on pass plays. Dillard and Octavien need to roam the middle and get sideline to sideline. Until Missouri can prove they can throw deep or to the sidelines we stick with this.

Here is my offensive gameplan:......................Castille up the middle on first down, second down, and third down...................should equal 1st down.........................continue until you score touchdown.

Here is my defensive gameplan:......................Blitz on 1st 2nd and 3rd downs and receive punt. Continue until ISUcks crys. :thumbs
