I wondered if this was why we saw so much of Bowers in the game @ PSU. He is a bigger bodied LB - not sure that he is fast enough or a good enough tackler to be the stopper that they need if the undersized d-lineman are getting sledded down the field again.
 
Unfortunately, because I allowed my daughter to marry a Hawkeye fan (I really didn't have a choice) I am going to have the great pleasure of watching this game at the Iowa Hawkeye bar in San Antonio.

This is not going to be an enjoyable day.

I've tried thinking of everything to get out of going. But, my only thought is, if we go to the bar, maybe he would have fun talking to all of his suckeye friends and I can just find a corner to be miserable in. The other option is being home with him hooping and hollering and dancing around the living room every time Iowa does something decent.

This is what I see. Our D line isn't killing it, but they are not being blown off the ball. Then there is no one there to make the play or if they are there they just don't. I think Singleton and Guthrie have made a lot of plays that someone else should have made.

Gronowski has had a real sub-par year. Feeling he has a breakout game against the huskers.

Windy and cold... I don't think either QB is going to do a lot through the air. This game will be won in the trenches.

Big picture, it’s just a game. I’m driving 14 hours to spend time with them, I’m not going to go off and do my thing on my own.

I did find that the Husker bar is 20 minutes away. I’m trying to talk my daughter into doing a half at each bar.

Make a drinking game for each punt? Should have a nice buzz going by halftime.

Yeah, at the bar is probably the better option. That way you may not be consumed with thoughts of how to hide the body 🤣

It’s a trap. No “iowa bar”, which is a term I’m not convinced is even real, exists outside of iowa city. Let alone in the state of Texas

He's not very good. He can be shaken. That needs to be the focus of the defense.
