Four-Star Recruit
Anyone have details on the injuries/recovery? Im eager to see them play again, Octavian "the Octopus" is a maniac :horns2

I saw steve after the bowl game, and he ws runnin' around on the field. Obviously this isn't game speed, but i talked to him at the hotel afterwards and he said he'll be better than what we saw.

"Better than what we saw"

Do you mean, better than what we saw againt Maine? Or better than what we saw from him running around the field after the bowl game?

If it's the first one.. damn.

He meant from what we saw @ the maine game. I don't know if he really means it or not, but you could tell he is soooo ready to crack some heads. I think he gets that "you gotta play every down like its ur last". He had fire in his eyes after that game. Lets hope it carries over into next season.

I hope he comes back with a fire lit under his a$$. He showed visions of greatness in the 15 minutes he played. He brought tremendous speed to the LB core. Shades of Super Demario.

I remember when i was at the KSU game one of my friends told me that Octavien was walking around campus just fine. No limping or crutches or anything. So he should definitley be 100% very soon.

Man, I can't wait for not only Octavian and Bradley to come back but Herian as well. Two monster playmakers on defense and one on offense back healthy will be huge and you put that together with new and improved talent...wow! I believe great things are in store for Husker Nation next season.

A healthy Octavien, Bradley, Herian...wow...gets the juices flowing ALREADY for next season.

With SC and the Champs coming up, though...we'll need'em all sorts of p----d off for having to sit around and wait.

I would not be surprised if we beat either USC or Texas.

Not saying it will happen, but I wouldn't be surprised. Next year we are going to see even more talent on the field - should be a blast!

I wouldn't be suprised if we beat both of them, don't want to jinx us though.

And I've seen both Octavien and Bradley on campus, they're looking good. I also have a class with Herian right now, he has one magnificent beard.

I saw an interview with Landon Donovan (for those of you who don't know the sport that set up football...well, it WAS football, or soccer) with the US Soccer Nat'l Team set to play in the World Cup this summer. The US team has a nasty qualifying bracket (said by some soccer experts as THE toughtest group) consisting of Italy and the Czech Republic, as well as a Ghana team that not only does no one know much about, but no one really wants to play, either.

To get to the point, Donovan (paraphrasing) said that yeah, their group is very tough, but why not play the best to see who you are, and if you're intimidated or afraid, then why even show up? He said that he knows that the US can win, and that if every other US player feels that way, then they CAN beat these teams.

He's right. NO ONE respects US Soccer...a group that made it to the quaterfinals in 2002 and scared the s--- out of Germany. Does anyone see some similarities here?

If this doesn't speak volumes for NU this fall, then I don't know what does.
