Offense scoring first three games

I saw where this is the first time nebraska has scored 40 or more points in each of the first three games since 1995. Our offense scares me half the time, I dont think we are going to have a repeat of 95, but that stat caught me by surprise none the less......

 
I saw that too. I was surprised as well. I know this isn't the 95 huskers but I don't think you can just toss that stat aside.

 
Our offense is loaded with playmakers. We need to shore up the line and keep the good playcalling going. I love how our penalties are almost non-existant now. Some games will be better than others for this young offense but it's nice to know we have the ability to score quickly.

 
In the 90's we also had our 2nd and 3rd team offenses in those wins for most of the second half, but I guess I am choosing to read this as our Offense scored 40 or more points in each of the first three games since Bo took the reigns...

now for the Defense....

if we can get O and D to both fire consistently together..we have a solid top 10 team. T Marts passing still freaks me out some, particularly those "deep decoying ducks" he throws. a good secondary is going to feast heavily on those..but thats just game planning and not throwing those against better secondaries...

This has pretty much been the Achilles Tendon of the team the past two years. If we had a pulse of an offense against Texas, we're Big 12 champs. If our defense holds onto a 17 point lead against Oklahoma, we're repeating Big 12 champs.

I do think Dennard being injured has a lot to do with the inconsistent play of the defense, but the secondary is getting valuable reps in. I guess we'll see.
