*** Official Illinois Game Thread ***

This is a big game.  It's a game we should win and are favored to win by a healthy margin.  Very interested in seeing how this team plays today.

 
No game is a guaranteed win for the Huskers.  A very good RB, mobile QB and looking to stay bowl eligible....We will get their best shot.  I'm hoping we come out fast, punch them in the mouth and continue to see the improved play we have seen week after week. Day by day.....

I think it's a little sloppy at times and Illinois will make a handful of plays, that being said, Illinois' defense is absolutely dreadful.  There is a non zero chance NU doesn't punt today.  NU wins 59-28 and rushes for over 400 yards.

 
43 years of duck hunting have prepared me for a day like today...Wife and friends did not wish to brave the elements downtown, so I gave my tickets up to the neighbor's kid.  Huskers should win by 15 plus.  Go big red

 
Well, we're both teams capable of beating up on Minnesota, we can say that at least. (53-28 vs us, 55-31 vs Illinois)

I am usually in favor of heavy pressure on the QB, but not for this game. Bush is TA with a less accurate arm and worse decision making. IMO, we should do everything possible to keep him from running, and trust the combination of an improved secondary along with inaccurate throws. I am a little concerned about this game. Illinois is improving, and it took 3 turnovers for us to hang with an overrated OSU.
