****Official Iowa Game Day Thread****

Were Nebraska players mad about the 50 yard prayer thing?  I wish they'd just do that at the 40 yard line or something.

It sort of looked like Iowa player touched the punt a split 2nd before No. 1 did.  It also looked like Rioala recovered his own fumble, but was stripped when he was already on the ground.  Also, should have been delay of game on last kick.   We blew the game, but I wish these 50-50 calls didn't always go against us.  The missed FG (felt it was going to miss even before kick when i saw how far left they were), Neyor drop, Rioala missing a couple wide open receivers, and the horrible defense on the Iowa TD that negated an all time best D performance when the guy was easily tackable.

Iowa fans are obviously making a big deal out of this. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal but you have to win if you pull this.
Sports psychology 101.  Never give your opponent the slightest edge, emotional boost, or psychological advantage.  Hopefully this is yet another learning moment.  The game is as much mental and emotional as it is physical.  This just makes you look weak.

Win or lose, it’s better to do it with class.  I have a good friend who played for Elon in NC.  He tells a funny story about when they were playing Liberty one year.  The Elon guys were cursing, taunting and trying to intimidate the Liberty kids.  The Liberty kids did not retaliate and even were saying “Bless you” while helping them up off the ground.  He said it was especially embarrassing as Liberty proceeded to dominate the scoreboard.  He said he much rather they cursed back at them.
